“Critical Infrastructure” opens at Terrain Gallery on Thursday, October 29, 2026, at 4:00 PM. The exhibition turns attention toward local people who usually present, teach or support other artists. Participants were asked to create new pieces that reflect the artistic abilities behind their careers. Visitors will encounter photography, printmaking and painting alongside work made with clay, sculpture and combined materials.

Carrie Scozzaro organized the show. She is an artist, arts educator and journalist. The participating group includes museum and gallery directors, teachers, nonprofit founders and other arts advocates. Among them are Ali Blackwood, Ann Saberi, Brooke Shelman Wagner, Chelsea Cordova, Eva Silverstone, Jeni Riplinger, Jennifer LaRue, Katie Patterson Larson, Kelly Baker, Kelsey Cook, Kristin Becker, Megan Cherry, Rob Worstell and Shawn Gunnier.

The opening takes place during First Friday, giving Spokane residents an opportunity to meet people involved across the regional arts community. The exhibition continues through October 31st. Admission is free during its regular Thursday, Friday and Saturday hours, from 4pm to 7pm, at 628 N Monroe St in Spokane.
