Moran Prairie Library Hosts Family Storytime
The program for ages 2–5 combines books, songs and hands-on STEAM activities.

Family Play & Learn Storytime is scheduled for Friday, November 13, 2026, at 10:30 AM in the Moran Prairie meeting room. It is designed for children ages 2–5 and their families, with time for adults and children to participate together.
The first half-hour features picture books, songs and fingerplays. After that, families move into another 30 minutes of activities involving math, science, art and literacy. The session also brings in social skills and other early learning concepts connected to kindergarten, with ideas families can continue exploring at home.
Parents and caregivers are encouraged to join the play, making the program an opportunity to learn and have fun together. Families can also get a library card for their child. Because space at library locations is limited, groups of 10 or more people should call ahead. Spokane County Library District says its in-person events are intended to welcome people of all abilities; accommodation requests can be made by emailing comments@scld.org or calling 509.893.8200 at least five business days before an event.
