Spokane Valley’s Toddler Play & Learn Storytime meets Thursday, November 5, 2026, at 9:30 AM in the Diane E. Zahand Meeting Room East. It is designed for children ages 18–36 months and gives parents and caregivers time to participate in play with them.

The first 20 minutes center on picture books, songs and fingerplays. Children then spend 30 minutes exploring activities connected to math, science and literacy. The format also supports social skills and STEAM learning—science, technology, engineering, art and math—skills children need for kindergarten and can keep practicing at home.

The session is a chance for caregivers to join their children in a structured, enjoyable learning setting. Families may also get a library card for a child. Library space is limited, and groups of 10 or more people should call ahead. Spokane County Library District says its in-person events are intended to welcome people of all abilities; accommodation requests should be made at least five business days in advance by emailing comments@scld.org or calling 509.893.8200.
