Free homebuyer seminar set for Argonne library
The November 7 session covers the buying process and offers a certificate that can support down-payment assistance applications.

Spokane County Library District is offering a no-cost homebuyer education seminar in the Argonne meeting room. It begins at 9 a.m. on Saturday, November 7, 2026. The session is designed to explain the main stages of purchasing a home without steering participants toward a particular choice.
The seminar will be led by SNAP Spokane instructors who hold certification from the Washington State Housing Finance Commission. SNAP is approved by HUD to provide housing counseling. People who finish the class will receive a completion certificate, which may be included with an application for help covering a down payment. When a class is divided across two days, participants must attend each session to qualify for that certificate.
Advance registration is mandatory. Participants may sign up online or call 509.456.7627, ext. 4131. Spokane County Library District also accepts accommodation requests for its in-person library programming. Requests involving ASL, hearing support or other ADA needs can be made by emailing comments@scld.org or calling 509.893.8200. The district asks that requests arrive at least five business days before the event.
